Hight: 5 to 6 feet at the shoulders

Weight: 1200 to 1500 lbs

Habitat: The lighter colored (white) Busilak live in the most treacherous of Arctic regions.
Black Busilak's live in lower arctic regions, areas with snow but also trees and vegetation.
The brown Busilak (rere) live in the lowland forests and swamps of Pellucidar.

Busilak's are blind but have heat sensors on their chins that work extremely well in guiding the creature. The white, arctic Busilak is the master of this skill. White Busilak's are invulnerable to all types of attack. The three types can be best described in the following manner.

Brown Busilak, Stand your ground

Black Busilak, step slowly back

White Busilak, Take flight.

The purpose of this creature is to guard the northern border of Pellucidar. When building the continent, I didn't build any land mass north of a certain area. I placed a border so that when the player reaches the area, they will get the turn back message saying that they can't go that way. I don't want anyone to ever reach that border or receive that message. The player should never be able to get past the Busilak. They may actually become strong enough to kill one of the creatures but never strong enough to fight their way through all that guard the border. Since these animals rely on body heat and not sight, invisibility and chameleon spells will be rendered useless against them.
