I'll use the name dragons to describe this race for the moment.

This race is almost extinct. There is only one left. There will be no quest leading the player to this creature, the player must explore the world and find her on their own. The dragon will send the player on a series of quests.

The dragons history
The dragons were fourteen sisters who controlled the realms of Pellucidar. The world was a peaceful place. A new species arrived from a distant land and the people of Pellucidar as well as the dragons excepted them into the world. That race was the Mahars, the mahars moved into positions of great power as servants to the dragons but only so that they could learn the weaknesses of the great dragons. When the Mahars had plotted every detail they put their plan into motion. Their betrayal of the dragons led to the murder of thirteen of the sisters. The last surviving dragon escaped and went into hiding. Dragons gain strength in the presence of their kind, their sisters. The last dragon is weak and old but she sends the player on a quest to retrieve the souls of her sisters. When a dragon dies, it's essence crystallizes. Finding the crystal souls of the thirteen sisters and returning them to the last sister, rejuvinates her and gives her the strength to defeat the Mahars.
