I recently tried to help someone out with a new race. I thought that perhaps I could figure out how to help but alas, my effort was useless. I did however learn a few new things from the experience, enough for me to attempt it on my own. It may be that nothing ever comes of this but here is my new subterranean race WIP.





Since they live underground, I gave them large eyes. Sound carries a long way in caves so their ears are smaller than an average persons and they have a wide mouth, I just like that look for them. If I lived in a dank musky cave filled with methane gas and bat guano, I don't think I'd want a nose.

I think they should have lots of tiny sharp teeth, like a shark.

He looks very happy.

To further the shark idea, how about a smooth leathery skin? Things down in caves tend to be white or albino looking, so maybe a light colored pinkish skin?

I was thinking about the Amiocops living underground. Nice and friendly. well made but worn clothing. The player will like this race but they have an evil secret and a darker side.
